Thomas Coutts was born near Aberdeen, Scotland. He studied at Louvain and Paris, where he was a fellow-student of Hector Boece, and may have been a regent at King's College for a short time. He was appointed as Principal at Glasgow University on 7 October 1510. In 1512, he held the posts of procurator, deputy and intrant, but he appears to have resigned as Principal by October 1514. |
