Baronet ; assumed by Royal Licence the additional sur-
name and arms of Coutts, 1880.
Armorial bearings are,
on a lozenge — Quarterly i and 4, ardent a slag's head
erased gules, IxUween the attires a pheon azure, all within
a bordure embattled of the last, charged with four buckles
or (for Coutts) ; 2 and 3 or, on a pile azure, ten bezants,
four, three, two, and one (for Money); and on an escut-
cheon of pretence the arms of Burdett, namely azure, two
bars or, each charged with three martlets gules. Married,
1850, as his second wife, the Rev. James Drummond Money
(who (/. 1875); and has /.««<■ — Francis Burdett Thomas
Money-Coutts, Esq., J. P. Seat — Stodham Park, Liss,
Hants.

James Drummond Money of Stodham Park, Hants, by
his second wife Clara Maria, fourth dau. of the late Sir
Francis Burdett, fifth Baronet, and (with his mother)
assumed the additional surname and aims of Coutts,
1880. 67

attires a pheon azure, all within a bordure embattled of

a wreath of the colours, a Saracen from the middle shooting
an arrow from a bow, all proper (for Coutts) ; 2. on a
wreath of the colours, a bezant tetween two wings azure,
each sem(5e-de-lis or (for Money). MottO — "Esse quam
videri." Married, 1875, Edith Ellen, dau. of Charles

MONEY-COUTTS of Ancote, Weybridge, and of Stodham Park, Hampshire. Exemplified to Mrs Clara Maria Money-Coutts, of Stodham Park, widow of the Rev. James Drummond Money, Rector of Sternfield, Suffolk and daughter of Sir Francis Burdett, 5th Bart., of Foremark, by Sophia his wife, daughter and coheir of Thomas Coutts, banker, and to her son Francis Burdett Money-Coutts of Ancote, upon their assuming by royal licence, 1880, the additional surname of Coutts in compliance with the will of Harriet, Duchess of St. Albans, widow of the said Thomas Coutts.
