- What is your Coutts connection?
- My grandfather Alexander Diamond Coutts - born 29/22/1892 was born in Scotland and lived with his parents Alexander Coutts (b 26-7-1863 (Househead, Aboyne)and Annie Smith. They lived in Cambus Omay until the older Alexander's death in 27/11/1904. Annie then worked as a researce lady in waiting for Queen Victoria at Balmoral castle adn my grandfather was a friend of th the then Prince of wales. My grandfather emigrated to Ayr in Australia where his uncle and cousins lived - establishing a large shopping business.His mother and siblings also emigrated to Australia.
- What is your particularly research interest or area?
- I would like to find more about the family history - especially prior to my great grandfather's time. I would also like to know where he - my great grandfather is buried.
