- What is your Coutts connection?
- My great great grandmother was Anne Coutts (1825-1904) daughter of John Coutts (1786-1854). He was a Baker and Town Ballie in Cupar in Fife. You have profiled one of his grandsons, James Coutts-Duffus (my first cousin once removed) on your site. John and his family grave is in the Cupar Parish Church graveyard. His published will is available online and an interesting read.
- What is your particularly research interest or area?
- I have been unable to trace the family line back any further. Unfortunately, only female descendants of John survived and so he has no descendants who have the surname Coutts.
