THE GRANT RAID ON ELGIN IN 1820 Captain Grant, Factor of Strathspey led this raid. He owned (freehold or leasehold?) Congash. The croft(?) of Tornabirrack was occupied by various Coutts at this time, presamably as tenants. These included the writer g g grandparents.
